4y + 6z = 8y - 12z

4y -8y = -12z -6z

-4y = -18

4y = 18

y = 18/4

y = 4.5

now take only LHS = 4y + 6z , RHS = 8y -12z

put the value of y in LHS and RHS

4×4.5 + 6z = 8×4.5 - 12z

18 + 6z = 36 - 12z

18 -36 = -12z -6z

z = 18/18

z = 1
