Answer:

Curved surface area of cylinder = 2πrh

Here r = 7 cm

Height = 10 cm

Now,

C.S.A of cylinder = 2×7×10×22/7

= 440 cm²

Question :

  • Radius of base 7cm of cylinder and its height 10cm. Then find its curved surface area.

 \\

Given :

  • Radius of Cylinder (r) = 7cm
  • Height of Cylinder (h) = 10cm

 \\

To Find :

  • Curved Surface Area of Cylinder

 \\

Solution :

✰ As we know that, Curved Surface Area of Cylinder is given by 2πrh . Now in this question Radius and Height of the Cylinder are given, so simply we will put the given values in the formula to find the Curved Surface Area of Cylinder (CSA).

⠀⠀⠀

⠀⠀⠀⟼⠀⠀⠀CSA = 2πrh

⠀⠀⠀⟼⠀⠀⠀CSA = 2 × 22/7 × 7 × 10

⠀⠀⠀⟼⠀⠀⠀CSA = 2 × 22 × 10

⠀⠀⠀⟼⠀⠀⠀CSA = 44 × 10

⠀⠀⠀⟼⠀⠀⠀CSA = 440cm²

Thus Curved Surface Area of Cylinder is 440cm²

What if we need Total Surface Area also ?

⠀⠀⠀⟼⠀⠀⠀TSA = 2πr (h + r)

⠀⠀⠀⟼⠀⠀⠀TSA = 2 × 22/7 × 7 (10 + 7)

⠀⠀⠀⟼⠀⠀⠀TSA = 2 × 22 × (10 + 7)

⠀⠀⠀⟼⠀⠀⠀TSA = 2 × 22 × 17

⠀⠀⠀⟼⠀⠀⠀TSA = 44 × 17

⠀⠀⠀⟼⠀⠀⠀TSA = 238cm²

Thus Total Surface Area of Cylinder is 238cm²
