1)Construct triangle ABC such that angleB =100 Construct triangle ABC such that angleB =100

=Steps of construction:

i. Construct ∆ABC of the given measurement.

ii. Draw the bisectors of ∠B and ∠C. Let these bisectors intersect at point I.

iii. Draw a perpendicular IM on side BC. Point M is the foot of the perpendicular.

iv. With I as centre and IM as radius, draw a circle which touches all the three sides of the triangle

2)The equation of the given line is 3x − y = 0.

3x − y = 0

⇒ y = 3x

Putting x = 0 in (1), we get

y = 3 × 0 = 0

Putting x = 1 in (1), we get

y = 3 × 1 = 3

Putting x = −1 in (1), we get

y = 3 × (−1) = −3

Putting x = 2 in (1), we get

y = 3 × 2 = 6

These values can be represented in the table in the form of ordered pairs as follows:

(x , y)

(0 , 0)

(1 , 3)

(-1 , -3)

(2 , 6)

4)

ABCD is a parallelogram, diagonals AC and BD intersect at O.

In triangles AOD and COB,

DAO = BCO (alternate interior angles)

AD = CB.

ADO = CBO (alternate interior angles)

AOD COB (ASA)

Hence, AO = CO and OD = OB (c.p.c.t)

Thus, the diagonals of a parallelogram bisect each other.
