ANSWERS :

Q.9)  3x - 4( 4 - x) = 10

ie, 3x - 16 + 4x = 10

ie, 7x = 26

ie, x = 26/7

Q.10) x = 7/9

- (-x) = -(-7/9)

      =  +7/9

      = 7/9

Hence, verified

Q.11) 2= 12/6  and  3/2 = 9/6

So two rational numbers between 2 and 3/2 are 10/6 and 11/6

Q.12) Let the angle of the quadrilateral be 3x , 7x, 6x and 4x

Sum of all angles of a quadrilateral is 360°

ie, 3x + 7x + 6x + 4x = 360

ie, 20x = 360

ie, x = 18

∴The largest angle = 7x = 7 × 18 = 126

Q.13)By prime factorising 1331 , we get ,

1331 = 11 × 11 ×11

Cube root of 1331 = 11

Q.14) cube root of -343 = -7

        cube root of 729 = 9

∴ Cube root of -343/729 = -7/9
