Step-by-step explanation:

(a) (\frac{3}{7} * \frac{-5}{9}) * \frac{2}{3}  (3 and 9 cancels out by 3 , 3 becomess 1 , 9 becomes 3 )

\frac{-5}{21} * \frac{2}{3}

\frac{-10}{63}

(b) \frac{3}{7} *(\frac{-5}{9} *\frac{2}{3})

\frac{3}{7} * \frac{-10}{27} (3 and 27 cancels out by 3 , 3 becomes 1 , 27 becomes 9 )

\frac{-10}{63}

So both are equal . This happens because of the associative property of multiplication .
