  \frac{x}{2} + \frac{2y}{3} = 1  ...... (1)\\\\\\

         x - \frac{y}{3} = 3 ........ (2)

from equ. (1) taking LCM = 6

we have,      3x + 4y = -6   ........ (3)

from equ. (2) taking LCM = 3

we have,      3x  -y =  9      ........ (4)

now subtract  (4) from (3)

3x + 4y = -6  

3x - y = 9

 +5y = -15

     y = -3

substitute y = 2 in equation (3)      

  3x + 4y = -6  

  3x + 4(-3) = -6

   3x = -6 + 12

   3x = 6

     x = 6/3 = 2

Hence, solution is x = 2 and y = -3.
