3x^2 + 2x - 1 = 0

3x^2 + 3x - 1x - 1 = 0

3x(x+1) -1(x+1) = 0

(3x - 1)(x+1) = 0

3x - 1 = 0. or. x+1=0

x = 1/3. or x = -1
