multiply (1) with 3 ,

6x + 9y = 21

multiply (2) with 2 ,

6x + 8y = 20

6x + 9y = 21

6x + 8y = 20 -

y = 1

Substitute y in (1)

2x + 3× 1 = 7

2x + 3= 7

2x = 7-3

2x = 4

x = 2

2 × 2 + 3× 1= 7---------(1)

4+3 = 7

3×2 + 4×1= 10

6+4= 10---------------(2)
