Solve by elimination 3x-y=7 and 2x+5y+1=0

Answer:

3x-y=7.....(1)×2

2x+5y=-1....(2)×3

on multiply in 2 eqn 1 and 3 on eqn 2

we get

6x-2y=14....(3)

6x+10y=-3...(4)

on subtracting eqn 3 and 4

we get

8y=17

y=17/8

put value of y in eqn 1

3x-17/8=7

×=73/24
