3x+4y=10

Answer:

we will keep equation 1 as it is , and multiply equation 2 with 2

3x + 4y = 10 equation 1

2(2x- 2y = 2) = 4x - 4y = 4 this is equation 3

adding equation 1 and 3

we get 5x= 12

x = 12/5 = 2.2

putting value of x in equation 1 we get

3(2.2) + 4y = 10

6.6 + 4y = 10

4y = 10-6.6

4y = 3.4

y = 0.85
