1) 3x - 7y = 2.....i
2x + 14y = 20....ii
multiply i with '2'
which gives us 6x -14y = 4....iii
add ii and iii
you get (2+6)x=24
i.e 8x = 24
x=3
substituting the value of x in i we get
3*3 - 7y = 2
-7y=2-9=-7
i.e y=1
2x + 14y = 20....ii
multiply i with '2'
which gives us 6x -14y = 4....iii
add ii and iii
you get (2+6)x=24
i.e 8x = 24
x=3
substituting the value of x in i we get
3*3 - 7y = 2
-7y=2-9=-7
i.e y=1
