2x+y=13-------------2

Equation 1 (×2)

Equation 2 (×3)

So , the new equation will be --

6x-2y=24-----------3

6x+3y=39----------4

Now, by subtracting (1) from (2) . We get ---

y=3

Putting y=3 in equation 1 . We get ---

3x-y=12

3x-3=12

3x=12+3

3x=15

x=15 divided by 3

So, x=5

We get the answer that is y=3 and x=5. Answer
