y=-33/5

x=72/15

Step-by-step explanation:

3x-y=21........(1)

6x+3y=9......(2)

Multiplying eq.(1) by 2

we get

6x-2y=42....(3)

(3)-(2)

we get

6x-2y=42

6x+3y=9

-5y=33

y=-33/5

putting value of y in eq.(1)

we get

3x-(-33/5)=21

3x+33/5=21

3x=21-(33/5)

3x=(105-33)/5

3x=72/5

x=72/15
