Given:- x-2y=-4

2x+3y=6

If x=a and y=b,

Then the equation will be:-

a-2b=-4____(1)

2a+3b=6___(2)

Using Elimination Method,

a-2b=-4___(1)×2

2a+3b=6__(2)×1

____________

2a-4b=-8

2a+3b=6

-. -. -

_______

-7b=-14

b=-14/-7

b= 2

Putting b =2 in eqⁿ (1) a-2b=-4

a-2×2=-4

a-4=-4

a=0

Hence the value of a is 0

AND

The value of b is 2.
