7(x-y=2)=7x-7y=14............(3)

By elimination method

subtract eq. (1)and(3)

7x-7y=14

7x-3y=6

=>-4y=8

= -y=8/4

= y=-2

putting the value of y =-2 in eq. (2)

x-y=2

x-(-2)=2

x+2=2

x=2-2

x=0

Hence, x=0 and y=-2
