Answer:

x+y=5 ......i

2x-2y=2.......ii

now multiply equation ii by 2

then we get 2x+2y=10......iii

now eliminate it

2x+2y=10......iii

+ 2x-2y=2.......ii

-------------------------

4x=12

therefore x=12÷4

x=3

now substitute x=3 in equation ii

2×3-2×y=2

6-2y=2

2y=2-6

2y=-4

y= -4÷2

y= -2

(x,y) = (3,-2)

given equations are

x+y=5 --------(1)

2x-2y=2--------(2)

In equation 2 on dividing every term by 2

x-y=1-----(3)

on subtracting equation (3) from(1)

x+y-x+y=5-1

2y=4

y=4/2

y=2

on putting the value of y in equation (3)

x-2=1

x=1+2

x=3

so ,x=3 and y=2 ans
