Heya mate!!

Here is your answer below

71x+37y=253 ...(i)

37x+71y=287 ...(ii)

On adding Equation (i) and Equation (ii), we get;

108(x+y)=540

=> x+y=5 ....(iii)

On subtracting Equation (ii) from Equation (i), we get;

=>34(x-y)=-34

=>x-y=-1 ...(iv)

On adding Equation (iii) and Equation (iv), we get;

=>x+y+x-y=5+(-1)

=>2x=4

=>x=2

On putting the value of x in Equation (iii) we get;

=>2+y=5

=>y=3

Therefore, "x=2" and "y=3"
