On adding Equation (iii) and Equation (iv), we get;

=>x+y+x-y=5+(-1)

=>2x=4

=>x=2

On putting the value of x in Equation (iii) we get;

=>2+y=5

=>y=3

Therefore, "x=2" and "y=3"
