Answer :

  • x = 5 and x = - 2

Given :

  • x² - 10 = 3x

To solve :

  • Factorization

Solution :

》x² - 10 = 3x

》x² - 10 - 3x = 0

》x² - 3x - 10 = 0

Now using the middle term we get,

》x² + 2x - 5x - 10 = 0

》x(x + 2) - 5(x + 2) = 0

》(x - 5) (x + 2) = 0

》x - 5 = 0 , x + 2 = 0

》x = 5 , x = - 2

Hence , x = 5 and x = - 2

Answer:

x²-10=3x

x²-10-3x=0

x²-3x-10=0

x²-5x +2x -10 =0

x(x-5) 2(x-5) =0

(x+2)  (x-5) =0

x+2=0  x-5=0

x=0-2   x=0+4

x= -2    x =4
