2x - 3y = 1

3x + 4y = 14

From eq1 find value of X first

2x = 1 + 3y

x = (1+3y) / 2

Now put value of X in eq 2

3((1+3y)/ 2) + 4y = 14

(3+9y) / 2+ 4y = 14

Now take LCM of LHS we get

(3+9y+8y) / 2 = 14

3 + 17y = 14*2

3 + 17y = 28

17y = 28 - 3

y = 25 / 17

Now to find X put value of Y in eq1

2x - 3(25/17) = 1

2x = 1+ 75/17

2x = (17+75)/17

2x*17 = 92

34x = 92

x = 92/34

x = 46 / 17

Hence X = 46/17 and Y = 25/17
