We have

2x + 3y = 0

=> 2x = - 3y

=> x = - 3y/2 -------(1)

We have , 3x + 4y = 5

Substituting (1) in above equation

=> 3(-3y/2) + 4y = 5

=> - 9y/2 + 4y = 5

=> ( - 9y + 8y ) / 2 = 5

=> - y = 10

=> y = - 10 <<<<<<< Answer

Using y in (1)

=> x = - 3(-10)/2

=> x = 15 <<<<<<<<< Answer

heya !!

here is your answer

========================

2x + 3y = 0 --- (1)

3x +4y = 5 -----(2)

in eq (1)

2x +3 y = 0

2x = 0 - 3y

2x = -3y

X = -3y /2

Substitute X value in eq (2)

3x + 4y =5

3(-3y /2 ) + 4y = 5

-9y /2 + 4y = 5

By Cross multiplication

 \frac{ - 9y + 8y}{2} = 5

-y = 5* 2

y = -10

substitute y value in eq (1)

2x + 3y = 0

2x + 3(-10) = 0

2x - 30 = 0

2x = 30

X = 30/2

X = 15

hence X = 15 ; y = -10

_______________

Let's verify it

2x +3y = 0

2(15) + 3(-10) = 0

30-30 = 0

3x + 4y = 5

3(15) + 4(-10) = 5

45 - 40 = 5

5 = 5

Hence proved .
