X= 9-3y/2. (1)

Now,

4x-5y =7

4 X 9-3y /2 - 5y = 7

18 - 6y - 5y = 7

18+7 = 11y

Y = 25/11

Now,

X =( 9-3 x 25/11) /2

=( 9-75) /22

= 66/22

= 3

Hence, X = 3 and Y = 25/11
