=============================

2x + Y = 7 -- Equation 1

4x - 3y = 1 -- Equation 2

From equation 1 we have

2x - Y = 7

Y = 7 - 2x -- Equation 3

Substituting eq 3 in eq 2

4x - 3y = 1

4x - 3( 7 - 2x ) = 1

4x - 21 - 6x = 1

10x = 20

x \:  =  \:  \frac{20}{10}  =  \: 2

So , X = 2 -- Equation 4

Substituting Eq 4 in Eq 3 we have

Y = 7 - 2x

Y = 7 - 2(2) = 7 - 4 = 3

So , Y = 3

Hence we say Y = 3 and X = 2

here it is......
by substitution both the equations ...

2 multiply in the equation first

4x+2y=14
4x-3y=1

5y=13

y=13/5

X=2.2
