y - 2x - 3 = 0

=> y = 2x + 3 ------------- (ii)

Substitute value of y from (ii) in (i)

3x - 7(2x + 3) + 10 = 0

3x - 14x - 21 + 10 = 0

-11x - 11 = 0

- 11x = 11

x = - 1

Substitute value of x in (ii)

y = 2x + 3

 = 2(-1) + 3

  = 1

Thus x = -1, y = 1.
