Given:

3x + 2y = 3 , 3y - 2x = 2

To find:

Solve by substitution method

Solution:

From given, we have,

3x + 2y = 3  ...... (1)

3y - 2x = 2  ...... (2)

consider equation (1)

3x = 3 - 2y

x = 1 - 2/3 y  ...... (3)

substitute this value of x in the equation (2)

so, we get,

3y - 2 (1 - 2/3y) = 2

3y - 2 + 4/3y = 2

13/3y = 2 + 2

13/3y = 4

y = 12/13

substitute the value of y in the equation (3)

x = 1 - 2/3 (12/13)

x = 5/13

Therefore, the values of x and y are 5/13 and 12/13
