6x= - 11-5y

x= (-11-5y)/6.....1)

x-2y=-9

x= - 9+2y

(-11-5y)/6=-9+2y[by 1)]

By cross multiplying,

-54+12y= - 11-5y

12y+5y= - 11+54

17y=43

y=43/17

Substituting the value of y in 1),

x=(-11-5×43/17)/6

x=-11-215/17/6

x=-11-215/17×6

x=-226/102
