=>x=1-7y.............. (iii)

Substituting the value of x in eq (i) ,we get

2(1-7y) -3y= -4

=>2-14y-3y= -4

=> -17y= -6

=>y=6/17

Again,

Putting the value of y in eq (iii) we get x=1-7y

=1-7(6/17)

=1-42/17

=(17-42/17)

= -25/17

Therefore, x=-25/17 and y=6/17
