Given :  X/2+y=0.8 , Y/3+x=10

To find : Value of x & y using substitution method

Solution:

x/2  + y  = 0.8

y/3  + x  = 10

x/2  + y  = 0.8

=> y = 0.8 - x/2

Putting value of y in

y/3  + x  = 10

=> ( 0.8 - x/2 )/3  + x = 10

=> (1.6 - x)/6  + x = 10

=> 1.6 -x + 6x  = 60

=> 5x  = 58.4

=> x = 11.68

putting x = 11.68 in

x/2  + y  = 0.8

=> (11.68)/2 + y = 0.8

=> 5.84 + y  = 0.8

=> y = -5.04

x = 11.68

y = -5.04
