x=5+y
Now putting value of x in eq (2)
2*(5+y) + 2y =22
Solving this
10 + 2y +2y=22
10+4y =22
4y = 22-10
4y = 12
y=12

Now putting this value of y in eq (1)
x-y=5
x-3=5
x=5-3
x=2
