Answer:

2x-3y=7;5x+y=9

here,

2x-3y = 7.......(1)

& 5x+y=9..….(2)

:.multiplying equation (2) by 3

We get ,

15x+3y = 27.......(3)

Adding equation (1) & (3)

2x-3y = 7

15x+3y = 27

….....................

17x = 34

x = 34/17

x = 2

putting x=2 in equation (1)

2x-3y=7

2(2)-3y=7

4-3y=7

-3y = 7-4

-3y = 3

-y=3/3

y=-1
