Solve by the method of elimination

(i) 2x-y = 3; 3x + y = 7

⭐ Solution ⭐

Given here

2x - y = 3..(1)

3x +y = 7...(2)

multiply by 3 and 2 equations (1) and (2)

we get

6x -3y = 9

6x +2y = 14

subtract its

-5y = -5

=>y = -5/(-5)

=>y = 1

by (1) ,

2x -1 = 3

2x = 4

=>x = 2

Thus:-

value of

x = 2

y = 1

Answer:

2x-y=3 ----- i

3x+y=7 ----- ii

------------------------ cut the y

5x. =10

,x=2

now putting the value of x into eq I

2x-y=3

4-y=3

-y=3-4

-y=-1

,y=1

hence x=2

y=1
