Trial and Error Method: Method where we find the correct value of the unknown by frequently trying different values which could satisfy the equation.

Equation: 3n + 7 = 16

1) Taking n = 1

  3(1) + 7 = 16

  10 ≠ 16

  LHS ≠ RHS

2) Taking n = 2

   3(2) + 7 = 16

   13 ≠ 16

   LHS ≠ RHS

3) Taking n = 3

   3(3) + 7 = 16

   16 = 16

   LHS = RHS

Therefore the Solution of the equation is n = 3.
