It is given that,
( -3/7 )(5/7 )( 7/4 ) - ( 1/2 )( -3/7 )
= (-3/7 )[(5 × 7)/(7×4)] - ( 1/2 )( -3/7 )
[ Closure property ]
= (-3/7)(5/4) - ( 1/2 )(-3/7)
= ( -3/7 )[ 5/4 - 1/2 ]
[ Since ab + ac = a( b + c ) ]
= ( -3/7 )[ ( 5 - 2 )/4 ]
= ( -3/7 ) ( 3/4 )
= ( -3 × 3 )/( 7 × 4 )
= -9/28
