Answer:

The elimination method for solving systems of linear equations uses theaddition property of equality. You can add the same value to each side of an equation. So if you have a system: x – 6 = −6 and x + y = 8, you can add x + y to the left side of the first equation and add 8 to the right side of the equation

Answer:

2x+3y=5 - - - - - - - - (1)

3x-y+9=0 - - - - - - (2)

Multiplying Equation (2) by 3 we get

9x - 3y + 27 = 0

9x - 3y = - 27 - - - - - - - - (3)

Adding Equation (1) & ( 3) we get

11x = - 22

x = - 2

Putting the value of x = - 2 in (2)

y = 3x + 9 = - 6 +9 = 3

So the required solution

x = - 2, y = 3
