\huge\bf\underline{Question:}

Solve:

2 {x}^{2}  - 7x + 3

\huge\bf\underline{Solution:}

There many methods to solve the above quadratic equation.

1.Splitting the middle term

\implies2 {x}^{2}  - 7x + 3 \\ \implies2 {x}^{2}  - 6x   - x + 3 \\\implies 2x(x - 3) -1 (x - 3) \\\implies (x - 3)(2x - 1) \\\implies x = 3 \: or \: x =  \frac{1}{2}

2.Quadratic formula

\implies \frac{ - b± \sqrt{ {b}^{2}  - 4ac}  }{2a }  \\ \implies\frac{7±  \sqrt{7 ^{2} - 4(2)(3) } }{2(2)}  \\  \implies\frac{7±  \sqrt{49 - 24}  }{4}  \\\implies \frac{7±5}{4}  \\\implies x =  \frac{2}{4}  =  \frac{1}{2} \:  or \: x =  \frac{12}{4}  = 3
