on solving the equation is
3y^2+y=6
3y^2 + y - 6= 0
so by keeping the formula (-b+or-root b^2-4ac)/2a
y= (-1+or-root 1+4x3x6)/6
y=(-1+or- root73)/6
root 73 is approx 8.5
so y= (-1 +or- 8.5)/6
y=7.5/6 , -9.5/6
therefore y=1.25 , 1.58
3y^2+y=6
3y^2 + y - 6= 0
so by keeping the formula (-b+or-root b^2-4ac)/2a
y= (-1+or-root 1+4x3x6)/6
y=(-1+or- root73)/6
root 73 is approx 8.5
so y= (-1 +or- 8.5)/6
y=7.5/6 , -9.5/6
therefore y=1.25 , 1.58
