GIVEN:-

$Quadratic\: equation \:P(x)=x^{2}-3x+1$

FORMMULA USED:-

$Quadratic\:formula=\frac{-b±\sqrt{b^{2}-4ac}}{2a}$

TO FIND:-

Zeroes of polynomial using quadratic formula  

SOLUTION:-

Equation is P(x)=x²-3x+1

Where $ax^{2}+bx+c$

• A=1 (coefficient of x2)

• B=-3 (coefficient of x)

• C=1 (constant term)

Let’s put values in equation we get

$=\frac{-(-3)±\sqrt{-3^{2}-4*1*1}}{2*1}\\=\frac{3±\sqrt{9-4}}{2}\\=\frac{3±\sqrt{5}}{2}$

[∵√5 is taken as 2.2]

∴$x=\frac{3+2.2}{2}\:\:;\:\:x=\frac{3-2.2}{2}\\x=\frac{5.2}{2}\:\:;\:\:\frac{0.8}{2}$

$x=2.6 \:\:\:and\:\:\: x=0.4$
