FIANL ANSWER:-

x=2.6 \:\:\:and\:\:\: x=0.4

GIVEN:-

Quadratic\: equation \:P(x)=x^{2}-3x+1

FORMMULA USED:-

Quadratic\:formula=\frac{-b±\sqrt{b^{2}-4ac}}{2a}

TO FIND:-

Zeroes of polynomial using quadratic formula

SOLUTION:-

Equation is P(x)=x²-3x+1

Where ax^{2}+bx+c

  • A=1 (coefficient of x2)
  • B=-3 (coefficient of x)
  • C=1 (constant term)

Let’s put values in equation we get

=\frac{-(-3)±\sqrt{-3^{2}-4*1*1}}{2*1}\\=\frac{3±\sqrt{9-4}}{2}\\=\frac{3±\sqrt{5}}{2}

[∵√5 is taken as 2.2]

x=\frac{3+2.2}{2}\:\:;\:\:x=\frac{3-2.2}{2}\\x=\frac{5.2}{2}\:\:;\:\:\frac{0.8}{2}\\

x=2.6 \:\:\:and\:\:\: x=0.4
