hey guy here your answer....

equation------>[1]. 2x+y=1

equation------->[2]. x-y =5

solving the equation 1 &2,

(+y and -y) gets cancel.

3x=6

x=6/3

x=2

substitute the x =2 in equation [1]

2x+y=1

2(2)+y=1

4+y=1

y=1-4

y=-3

The solution is (2,-3)........

Answer:

(x,y)=(2,-3)

Step-by-step explanation:

here,

2x+y=1

or,x=(1-y)/2 ----eqn 1

Now,

y=x-5

or,y=(1-y)/2 -5

or,y=(1-y-10)/2

or,2y=-9-y

or,3y=-9

so,y=-3

putting the value of y in eqn 1

x={1-(-3)}/2

or,x=4/2

so x=2
