2 x - 3 y + 6=0 - eqn 1

2 x + 3 y - 18=0 - eqn 2

2 x +3 y=18

2x = 18-3y

x= \frac{18 - 3y}{2}  - eqn 3

substitute eqn 3 in eqn 1

2x - 3y +6=0

2 \frac{18 - 3y}{2}  -3y +6 =0

18 -3y -3y +6=0

24 - 6y=0

-6y= -24

6y =24

y= 24/6 = 4

substitute y = 4 in eqn 3

x = \frac{18 - 3y}{2}

=  \frac{18 - 3(4)}{2}

=  \frac{18 - 12}{2}

= \frac{6}{2}

x= 3
