Answer:

d) -2 < k< 1

Step-by-step explanation:

(sin^2x)^2+(cos^2x)^2+sin^2x+k = 0

(sin^2x+cos^2x)^2- 2sin^(2)xcos^(2)x+sin^2x+k = 0

(1)^2 + 1/2 (2sinxcosx)^2+sin^2x+k=0

1+1/2 sin^2(2x) + sin^2x+k=0

Now min & max values..

if x=0°

1 + 0 + 0 +k =0 ; k = -1

if x= 45°

1 + 1/2 + 1/2 + k = 0 ; k =-2

hence -2 < k< 1

Note : (alpha) is taken as (k)
