ΔABC is a right triangle, so that,

⇒ BC² = AB² + AC²

⇒ BC² = 3² + 4²

⇒ BC² = 9 + 16

⇒ BC² = 25

⇒ BC = √25

⇒ BC = 5 cm

Area of ΔABC,

⇒ 1/2 × AB × AC

⇒ 1/2 × 3 × 4

⇒ 1/2 × 12

⇒ 6 cm²

Radius of the circle,

⇒ r = 1/2 × BC

⇒ r = 1/2 × 5

⇒ r = 2.5 cm

Area of the circle,

⇒ πr²

⇒ 3.14 × (2.5)²

⇒ 3.14 × 6.25

⇒ 19.625 cm²

Area of the shaded region,

⇒ Area of the circle - Area of ΔABC

⇒ 19.625 - 6

13.625 cm²

Plz ask me if you have any doubt on my answer.

Thank you......

area of shaded region =area of circle -area of triangle

area of triangle

1/2 ×b×h

1/2×3×5 (side bc=5 )

15/2 cm

area of circle

3.14×5/2×5/2

78.6/4 cm

now area of shaded region

78.6/4-15/2

12.15cm square
