Here is your answer :-

x + 2y = 7 ......(1)

x - 2y = 1.........(2)

Add both the equations,

2x = 8
x = 4

Now,
Put the value of x in eq (1).

➡ x + 2y = 7

➡ 4 + 2y = 7

➡ 2y = 3

➡ y = 3/2

Answer :-
x = 4 and y = 3/2

Hiii friend !!!

X + 2Y = 7 ------(1)

X -2Y = 1 --------(2)

Using elimination method :-

Adding equation (1) and (2) we get,

X + 2Y = 7

X - 2Y = 1
----------------

2X = 8

X = 8/2

X = 4

Putting X = 4 in equation (1)

X + 2Y = 7

4 + 2Y = 7

2Y = 7-4

Y = 3/2

Hence,

X = 4 and Y = 3/2
