x + 2y = 7 ......(1)
x - 2y = 1.........(2)
Add both the equations,
2x = 8
x = 4
Now,
Put the value of x in eq (1).
➡ x + 2y = 7
➡ 4 + 2y = 7
➡ 2y = 3
➡ y = 3/2
Answer :-
x = 4 and y = 3/2
