 Given \: \frac{4x-5}{x+2} = \frac{8x-1}{2x+1}

/* Doing Cross multiplication , we get */

 \implies (4x-5)(2x+1) = (8x-1)(x+2)

 \implies 4x(2x+1)-5(2x+1)  = 8x(x+2)-1(x+2)

 \implies 8x^{2} + 4x - 10x - 5 = 8x^{2}+16x-x-2

 \implies 8x^{2} - 6x - 5 = 8x^{2}+15x-2

 \implies 8x^{2} - 6x - 8x^{2}-15x = -2 +5

 \implies -21x =  3

 \implies x =  \frac{3}{-21}

 \implies x =  \frac{-1}{7}

Therefore.,
