Answer:

The total surface area of a cube is 2400 cm sq.

The lateral surface area of a cube is 1600 cm sq.

Step-by-step explanation:

ATQ,

The side of a cube is 20 cm

First we find the total surface area ( TSA )

so, TSA = 6 × S × S

= 6 × 20 × 20 cm sq.

= 6 × 400 cm sq.

= 2400 cm sq.

Now we find the lateral surface area ( LSA )

so , LSA = 4 × S × S

= 4 × 20 × 20 cm sq.

= 1600 cm sq.

Given : a Cube whose side is 20 cm.

To Find :  total surface area of a Cube

Solution:

total surface area of a Cube = Sum of Surface area of each Face

A cube has all sides equal

Hence Surface area of one face = Side²

=> Surface area of one face = 20²

=>  Surface area of one face = 400 cm²

A cube has 6 faces

Hence Total Surface Area = 6 x Surface area of one face

=> Total Surface Area =  6 x 400

=> Total Surface Area =  2400  cm²

total surface area of a Cube whose side is 20 cm. is  2400  cm²
