Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

By cross multiplication method.

3x + 2y = 12 ----------eq (1)

5x - 2y = 4 ----------eq (2)

eq (1) + eq (2)=

8x = 16

× = 16/8

x =2.

Put the value (x = 2) in eq (1) .

3×2 + 2y =12

6+ 2y = 12

2y = 12 - 6

2y = 6

y = 6/2

Or y = 3

Hence , the value of x be 2 and the value of y be 3.

Hope it will help you.

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Let 3x+2y=12....eq1

5x-2y=4......eq2

Adding eq 1and2

3x+2y=12

+ 5x-2y=4

8x=16

x=16/8

x=2

Putting x=2 in eq1

3x+2y=12

3x2+2y=12

6+2y =12

2y=12-6

2y=6

y=6/2

y=3

(x,y)=(2,3)
