(6) Let the rational number be {x}

Now, According to Question

{\dfrac{-7}{8}+x=\dfrac{5}{9}}

{x = \dfrac{5}{9}+\dfrac{7}{8}}

{x = \dfrac{40+63}{72}}

{x = \dfrac{103}{72}}

(7) Let the rational number be {x}

In the same way,

{\dfrac{-5}{9}+x=\dfrac{-2}{3}}

{x = -  \dfrac{2}{3}+\dfrac{5}{9}}

{x = -\dfrac{6}{9}+\dfrac{5}{9}}

{x = \dfrac{-6+5}{9}}

{x = \dfrac{-1}{9}}
