formula for force = mass * acceleration
acceleration= velocity / time
now,
force = mass* velocity/ time
time= mass*velocity/force.......(i)

force= 400N
mass=20kg
velocity= 180m/s
put these values in equation (i)

F = (mv - mu)/t

Body was initially at rest.
So, F = mv/t

t = mv/F
= (20 kg × 180 m/s) / (400 N)
= 9 seconds

∴ Force should act on body for 9 seconds.
