\sf :\implies\:\dfrac{6 + 2i}{1 + i}  \times \dfrac{1 - i}{1 - i}

\sf :\implies \:\dfrac{6 - 6i + 2i -  {2i}^{2} }{ {1}^{2}  -  {i}^{2} }

\sf :\implies\:\dfrac{6 - 4i + 2}{1 + 1}

\sf :\implies \:\dfrac{8 - 4i}{2}

\sf :\implies \:4 - 2i
