Explanation:

adding 1+5 = 6 ohm ----¹

and 3+7 = 10 ohm -----² (as both are in series)

Now adding -----¹ with 12 ohm

1/12 +1/6 = 4 ohm

and as we can se now 4 ohm and 11 ohm are in series

therefore 11 + 4 = 15 ohm

and at last 15 ohm and ----² are in parallel

1/15 + 1/10 = 5/30 => 6 ohm
