 \frac{1}{x}  +  \frac{1}{x - 2}  =  \frac{3}{x}

 \frac{1(x - 2) + 1(x)}{x(x - 2)}  =  \frac{3}{x}

x - 2 + x = 3(x-2)

2x - 2 = 3x - 6

2x-3x = -6+2

- x = - 4

x = 4
