Hi ,

2x - 3/x = 1

( 2x² - 3 )/x= 1

2x² - 3 = x

2x² - x - 3 = 0

Splitting the middle term ,

2x² -3x + 2x - 3 = 0

x(2x - 3 ) + 1( 2x - 3 ) = 0

( 2x - 3 )( x + 1 ) = 0

Therefore ,

2x - 3 = 0 or x + 1 = 0

2x = 3 or x = -1

x = 3/2 or x = -1

I hope this helps you.
